I could list all the new talents/abilities that we’ll be getting, but that’s boring so instead I’ll just hit the high points.
Talent Show
We obviously have the new talent system, which is awesome. No more wasted talents! While they may not all be for Resto Druids they are ALL useful for one spec or another, which is more than I can say for any incarnation of the talent trees previously.
I’m excited that the talents will be treated like Glyphs in the sense that you can switch them out at will with a reagent. I can see a couple of them that are very situational based. PvPing with Treants will be fun, being able to interrupt in tree form with Mighty Bash will be nice, and I quite look forward to our lvl 90 talents. For me it’s a toss up between Dream of Cenarius and Nature’s Vigil I can see the appeal of both, and I think it’ll be up to the healer to decide what’s best for the situation.
Things That Makes Us Go HEAL!
As for abilities, we have the opportunity for some fun ones this time around, I’m personally looking forward to coming up with ways to creatively use Wild Mushrooms, and I am REALLY hoping that Cenarion Ward is as useful as I want it to be.
While I’ve done some “testing” in the Beta I’m not 90 and I haven’t really sat down and theorycrafted, I’ve got 5 levels to do that on live. Let’s not forget about Symbiosis, I have a fairly good idea of who will get in in the raid (DK Tank), and who will get it in PvP (Hunter), but this is one that has the chance to be fun, just FUN. I know that is probably isn’t what everyone wanted it to be, but it’s actually a GREAT resource for tanks. Everyone likes an additional cooldown.
Dust of Disappearance Anyone?
Let’s take a second to talk about Glyphs. Glyph of Lifebloom…/drool I am so excited about not wasting GCD’s to have to restack 3 levels of lifebloom on either another target if asked, but if there is a tank swap I can do it with minimal trouble, and with keeping the tank as healed as possible. Not to mention Lifebloom in general is going to be so much better, 15 second cooldown!!! (Man exclamation points are required)
I’ll be honest at first I didn’t see the appeal of the minor Glyph of Grace, till I remembered that we won’t be flying till like 90. Not that I have a pension for falling of cliffs…(more often then I care to admit) So now when I plummet to my doom there is a greater chance I’ll survive.
Glyph of Stag, HELL YES, I most certainly want to be a rideable stag! Come along Ponds, let us ride upon the back of this glorious Druid to freedom. (I need that to happen.)
Now is everything we’re getting useful? No. Wednesday’s post will be the darker less happy version of this going over what we’ll most likely not use. Until then revel in the happy fun we’re going to be playing with. Also anyone know the haste breakpoints yet?
/Cheers

Seems to be a thread going in plusheals about the haste breakpoints. You know, I really love these posts, I don’t play my druid healer much, but I co-heal with one and it’s nice to know what he’s going to get so I can prepare for mists! Once it goes live, I’m really looking forward to hearing your take on the new dungeons!
Thanks for the link! I’m really glad you like it, if it helps I can’t wait to see how I feel about the new dungeons.
Glyph of Grace? Love it hehe! I typically also fall off cliffs and other things so you are not alone!
Dream of Cenarius looks interesting. I haven’t really played with many encounters in beta but I hope there are some that actually encourage healers to do some damage. Getting a wrath off, blowing tree form/other cooldowns and hitting tranq might just be the greatest thing ever.
Still, hard to go past NV for fights where more constant (/demanding) healing is the go, since it’s basically a better bonus% than ToL gives without the additional spell effects.
