If you follow my blog at all you have probably surmised that I dislike PvP strongly, which makes my next statement rather odd. I play on a PvP server. I have no issue with world PvP, if you are my level or within a level of mine and you find me and kill me, congrats to you!
HOWEVER, there are a couple of things that I don’t care for…
Let’s Go Camping!
Ok so you’ve killed me, it’s not that hard, and I likely didn’t put up much of a fight, so now what? You stand by my body so that when I rez at low health and low mana you can kill me again? To the point where I have to just say f*ck it and Spirit Rez?
That might be fun for you, in a I-don’t-feel-good-about-myself-so-I-have-to-pick-on-others kind of way, but for us it’s bullying.
If I want to keep PvPing with you I promise I will.
Oh LUNCH!
I just yelled at a guildie for doing this the other day, it’ is without a doubt my BIGGEST pet peeve from playing on a PvP server.
When I was leveling from 85-90 I got PvP’d while questing, it sucks, as a matter of fact it BLOWS, but that is the lot I chose when I came here. What I find completely unacceptable is max level characters going out of their way to chase down those that are lower level, and are clearly questing to kill them.
Why? What purpose does this serve? You’re either just a mean person or your so hungry for honor points, and suck so hard at PvP that you choose to go after those that are weaker than you. Let us enjoy the leveling and questing process.
Retribution
IF you pick on me in either of the situations above I will take it, there is nothing that I can do about it personally since, I am not geared for PvP nor do I enjoy it, BUT IF you do pick a fight and you continually pick a fight I DO have a Battlemaster Hunter, and a Battlemaster Warrior that don’t take kindly to people picking on their guildies that will come and track you down.
They have less of an issue with camping. I can not control them.
I know that this was not a light hearted funny post that they are normally, but I play this game to have fun and PvP Grieving is NOT fun. I completely understand your anger. Even PvE servers suffer from the same type of asshattery. PVP enabled people sneak up on you while you have a few mobs and stand in the mob pack you’re attacking, hoping you’ll AOE and hit them. I’ve become super-paranoid as I level. >_<
