First let me say I LOVE pet battles. Yes, I know it is a direct copy of a very famous Japanese game. *Cough, Cough* Pokémon *Cough, Cough*
Which is exactly why Blizzard should be using it, combine the most popular MMORPG with the most popular turn based video /card game and viola success…hopefully.

I found Addons! More importantly WoW Insider and this wonderful article by Olivia Grace More Pet Battle Addons, it gave me some really great suggestions! When I went to go look for some of my own I discovered the addon PetBattleTeams which does this:
Gives you a nice little side menu where you can assemble teams, insert appropriate Avengers quote here, so that you can easily cycle through them. You can also see that the rarity of the pets is enhanced as well as the level, and anything really special about them, enhanced health, movement speed, etc. That is from the addon PetJournal Enhanced.
I definitely recommend both of these addons they are awesome,a and make your battling that much easier!
Striving For Perfection
So there I was looking through my 140 some odd pets, trying to make sense of it all, I did some research and found a couple of VERY handy tools, over at http://www.warcraftpets.com I found this extremely useful chart.
To be honest the whole website is amazing if you have questions about the nitty gritty of pet battling I suggest you check it out, but back to my foray into Pet Battling.
So I assemble my team I’ve got Galactica (Darkmoon Faire Zeppelin), Raineva (Lil’Taregosa), and Sleepy Willy (Willy). I charge into battle!
This team is not ideal. I WAS doing great with them up until I hit around level 4-5 then things started to go down hill, Galactica is still striving to greatness, living up to it’s name, but the other two are just meh. Now it’s midnight and I’m back to the drawing board trying to find suitable replacements for them.
If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears! You see I have this friend Wolfeson, I’m sure you guys have read about him if you follow my blog, he has challenged me to a duel and I MUST DESTROY him, but we’re not allowed to know each others team make up, so I need something GOOD!

Especially early on, it’s a real benefit to use mini-pets that have beast and mechanical attacks, as those do well against critter and beasts respectively. Or at the very least avoid undead and critter pets. And use “Rare” quality pets if at all possible to get maximum stats.
I’ve been using mr.grubs, rag, and my celestial dragon. No strat just the squee factor.
