As the time for Mists draws ever closer, Unity(my guild) will start recruiting for the raiding season. So in honor of that, and the fact that I have a job interview today I am going to spread the knowledge of apply to raid with a guild. This can of course be applied to any type of application.

This is how you do a serious application, people are looking to get a good feel for you, so be honest(cause if you lie it’ll come out eventually) and up front with information.

What spec/role are you applying for? Are you comfortable playing multiple specs in a raid?

Resto Druid, while I have no problems playing Moonkin I am significantly more comfortable as a healer.

What is your guild and raiding history?

I was in Gator Raid, on the Alexstraza server previously, then transferred to Bleeding Hallow where I hope to make a home.

As for raiding I began my actual raiding career a little late with Naxx, Ulduar, and ICC. I’ve healed through all of those at level, as well as played a Melee DPS Deathknight.

Progressed on hardmode/heroic for Ulduar and ICC.

In Cataclysm I played mainly as a Druid healer through 25 man BWD, ToFW, and BoT. Clear on normal, and worked on some heroics in 10 mans later in the patch.

During Firelands I healed in a 10 man that cleared normal mode, and progressed through 3/8Heroic (Shannox, Majordomo, and Rylo).

After Firelands, my raid team and I took a break from WoW and didn’t return until Dragon Soul had been out for a couple of months.

I jumped in as a healer to a raid group and healed Heroics with no prior experience or gear. I ended DS raiding with 8/8 normal and 6/8 Heroic.

After doing research on the server, and looking through guilds, you seemed to fit my schedule, and personality best.

Tell us about yourself!

I’m a working professional, married, with no children. I am confidant I can make every raid, as well as any farming events you may have. I have previous obligations on Tuesdays, and Sunday afternoons.

I have very reliable internet.

I’m looking forward to talking with you and your officer staff, as well as progressing through the raids Mists has to offer.

 

That is actually my raiding application with a few tweeks since I’m not actually leaving my guild. Recruitment Officers or Guild Leaders are generally looking for people who will take the time to completely fill out an application. Let’s face it if you can’t do that how good of a raider/player can you be?

As I said you can apply this to any application in your real life as well. Applications are the first thing people see about you, make it something they’ll remember.
