It’s that time of the year again, the fires of Azeroth have been lit and we’ll spend the next couple of weeks protecting fires, and peeing on other ones.
We are getting into the season where we are going to start getting holiday after holiday. I get excited about this season, and in about 2 months when we get to the pirate festival then I will grow tired of it.
I think if I had a buff bar right now I’d have the Buff Holiday Excitement, Wedding Excitement, and the Debuff Adult Responsibilities.
OMG, yay, It’s Time for (insert name here)
Like I said I genuinely get giddity over a lot of the wow holidays, some of my favorites are:

Midsummer Fire Festival
- This was the first WoW holiday I ever participated in, and I was introduced to it by an old friend. We were on a PvP server, and he was max level and I was a lowly level 50.
- He took the time to take me around to all the Alliance fires, and told me we were going to go pee on them! How does this not sound like the most fun you can ever have?!
- My first PvP experience in this holiday was a fire by Elwynn Forest, it involved a Human Pally, a Night Elf Mage, my friends Orc Hunter, and my lowly Undead Mage. There was fighting, I survived by spending the whole time at the bottom of a lake. Undead (Troll) FTW!
Beerfest
- I will start by saying that in general I don’t drink, and I certainly don’t drink beer all that much. If I do it’s Sam Adams or Amberbock.
- But G’Damn I LOVE Beerfest! The games are fun, the getting totally smashed is fun, going to kill the Coren Direbrew is just some good old fashion fun.
- Not to mention the inevitable pulling of the whole tavern.
- Nothing is more fun for me that the spooky goodness of All Hollow’s Eve. In all it’s sticky/sweet, NERDS grinding goodness.
- I have yet in my many years of playing this collected all the masks, I’m lazy, but I do enjoy getting the wands and wasting them all over the place preferably in BG’s or in Raids. Yes, my raid leader may or may not find this annoying. I generally don’t care, it’s too much fun to turn him/her into a ninja while yelling at me.
All Hollow’s Eve
/Sigh it’s still (insert name here)
But will the sweets comes the sour, with longer holidays particularly Winter’s Veil, or Pilgrim’s Bounty, I getting really bored of them come the end of the second week.
I don’t feel like doing the dailies, grinding (insert holiday currency here), or killing the bad guy for the one drop you need.
I start to feel like the Grinch and if I could I’d walk my troll around Org ripping down the decorations like a emo kid at prom.
So…unless it’s All Hollows Eve, which I never tire of I limit myself to a max of a week and a half involvement in any given holiday.
I hope for those of you that are on my server Alliance side, that you are ready for my dive bombing druid peeing extravaganza! For Hordies lets go raid some cities, yeah?
